ArrobaCV

Terms of Use

These terms explain use of the editor, free and paid exports, one-time purchases and the ArrobaCV account.

This document exists in Portuguese and English. If the two versions differ, the Portuguese version prevails.

In force since 28 September 2026.

Service provider

ArrobaCV is provided by the service provider identified on the page Legal Information, which sets out the applicable identification, contact, complaints and alternative dispute resolution details.

Editor and local storage

You can create, edit, import, organise and save resumes free of charge. Resume content stays in the browser and is not synced to the online account. You are responsible for keeping .arrobacv backups whenever you need to preserve or transfer the content.

Free and paid exports

On the website, PDF, PNG and printing with a watermark are free with every template, without an account. Saving .arrobacv files and sharing by link are also free. Exporting without a watermark or in Word requires an account and paid access, with the templates included in your purchase.

Account and licence

The online account makes it possible to recognise the licence linked to the same identity across compatible ArrobaCV services, including the website and, where available, the Android and iPhone apps. The account does not transfer or sync resume content. You must provide accurate data and protect your access methods.

One-time purchases, packs and prices

The current options are one-time purchases: 1 export, Pack 5, Premium Pack and Permanent Access. They do not renew automatically. The total price, applicable taxes and the essential features of the chosen option are shown before the payment is confirmed. Payment on the website is processed by Stripe.

Before opening Stripe Checkout, the website requires separate confirmations about the Terms, the immediate start of digital performance and the acknowledgement of the consequences that the law may attach to that start. The service keeps the version of the text shown, the account, the purchase option and the date of the record as contractual evidence. This record alone does not remove mandatory consumer rights.

Credits and templates

A credit is reserved when a paid export starts and is consumed when the final file completes successfully. If an authorised export fails before completion, the system tries to release the reserved credit. Pack 5 allows exporting with ATS Classic and two premium templates; the Premium Pack and Permanent Access allow exporting with every template. All templates can be created, edited and previewed free of charge.

Permanent Access and discontinuation

“Permanent Access” is the commercial name of a one-time purchase licence, with no automatic renewal and no expiry date set by ArrobaCV. It does not mean that ArrobaCV, the website, the app, the servers, the stores, the operating systems or third-party services will remain available forever. If the product or a feature is discontinued, access may cease to be available, in particular after uninstalling the app, switching devices or the end of technical support. Whenever it is technically reasonable, we will seek to preserve local features already enabled and to give an opportunity to save or export data before a shutdown. This does not limit mandatory consumer rights.

Right of withdrawal

Where Portuguese or European Union law grants the consumer a right of withdrawal in a distance purchase, that right may as a rule be exercised within the applicable legal period, including the 14-day period provided for many distance contracts. There are exceptions and specific rules for digital services and content whose performance starts immediately. ArrobaCV does not intend to exclude or reduce any mandatory consumer right.

At the website checkout, the consumer may expressly request that digital performance start right after payment and separately acknowledge that, in the situations provided for by law, that start may entail losing the right of withdrawal. Any loss of that right is only considered where all applicable legal requirements are actually met, including the information and confirmation duties that may be required.

Refunds, revocations and legacy purchases

Refund requests are reviewed in accordance with applicable law, the status of the digital service or content supplied and the rules of the payment platform used. The commercial rules of Stripe, the App Store or Google Play do not replace mandatory consumer rights. Monthly or annual subscriptions bought under the previous model remain valid while active and must be managed on the platform where they were purchased.

When Stripe confirms a full refund of a credit purchase, the rights from that purchase are revoked. Credits still available stop being usable, and the units from that same purchase that have already been consumed may be reflected in a negative account balance. Future credit purchases first settle that balance before creating new available exports. A file that has already been delivered cannot technically be recalled or erased by ArrobaCV.

When Permanent Access is fully refunded, the permanent right from that purchase is removed and the account keeps only any other valid rights that may exist. Exports made while unlimited access was active are not retroactively converted into negative credits.

Partial refunds are recorded and may require manual review; the system does not automatically turn a monetary fraction into an arbitrary number of credits or templates. None of these rules limits the consumer's mandatory legal rights.

For website purchases, each request identifies a specific Stripe purchase and may be started within its 14-day operational window, calculated by the service from that purchase date. A later purchase does not reopen an older purchase window. Submitting the form does not automatically issue or guarantee a refund; it creates a request for support review. App Store and Google Play purchases follow the relevant store’s channels and rules. These operational rules do not limit mandatory legal rights.

Account deletion

You can delete the online account through the security settings. Deletion removes the identity, the profile, the licence and the purchase rights directly associated with it, deletes or anonymises support content linked to the account and attempts to remove the associated local workspace from that browser, subject to the technical limitations explained during the process. Before deleting the account, you can create an .arrobacv backup. Limited payment, refund, security or audit records may be kept where a legal obligation or legitimate reason exists. Records kept by third parties, such as payment platforms, under their own responsibilities are not controlled by ArrobaCV.

Acceptable use

You may not attempt to bypass licence validation, exploit vulnerabilities, interfere with other accounts, abuse the payment systems or use ArrobaCV for illegal activity. The resumes and files you create, as well as the lawfulness of the data you put in them, remain your responsibility.

Intellectual property

Using ArrobaCV does not transfer ownership of the brand, the code, the templates, the visual identity or other protected elements of the service. The content you enter in your resume remains yours, or is used under your responsibility, according to the rights you hold over that content.

Availability and changes

We may fix, update, replace or discontinue features, applications or the service itself. Where reasonably possible, we will seek to give advance notice of a significant discontinuation. No purchase guarantees perpetual availability of ArrobaCV or third-party services. Material changes to these terms will be published on this page with a new effective date.

Complaints and dispute resolution

The contact channels for complaints, access to the Electronic Complaints Book and the applicable Alternative Consumer Dispute Resolution bodies are listed on the page Legal Information.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that apply based on the consumer's country of residence or to other mandatory rules.
